About Waterglass
Waterglass is a ‘Micro PE fund’ specializing in the acquisition and growth of B2B SaaS businesses. Its focus is on scaling these companies through innovative operational strategies, financial investment, and hands-on leadership.

As I’m preparing the establishment of our first fund with external capital, I’m looking for a Growth Partner to join me in acquiring and growing profitable ‘boring businesses’ who are outside the usual scope of VCs, but solve a relevant problem in the market.
The goal over the next years is to acquire a portfolio of profitable software businesses and grow them together.
Type
First Advisory, then transitioning within 6-9 months to Part-time, and eventually to Full-time.
Location
On-site (Vienna, Austria) or Remote (max. 3 hours time difference to CET)
Role
Your role will initially be on an advisory and later part-time basis of 5-10 hours per week, with the expectation of eventually transitioning to a full-time role.
You will be responsible for designing and executing creative, impactful growth strategies across Waterglass’s portfolio companies.
You will work closely with me, Bernhard, the product-focused Waterglass founder, to co-lead the fund, and together, you’ll form the core team driving the growth and success of Waterglass.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement hands-on creative growth strategies for Waterglass’s portfolio of B2B SaaS businesses
- Contribute financially alongside me to acquisitions, becoming a key stakeholder in the companies we acquire
- Collaborate with me to identify new acquisition opportunities and drive strategic partnerships
- Lead business development initiatives to optimize portfolio company revenue streams and enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct thorough market analysis to shape strategic decision-making for growth and acquisitions
- Work on due diligence, focusing on growth potential and strategic alignment for new acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Previous founder experience with a successful track record of building and scaling B2B SaaS companies through growth tactics
- Generalist, entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills
